Okay so Error 410 is actually reserved for sites that leave without supplying a forwarding address, but who's counting?
Well as I mentioned previously, LJ sucks and I wanted more control over
my blog. Not to mention I wanted Elaine to be able to write posts and
keep everyone up to date on day to day affairs (which I'm horrible at).
So, I present to you: A Tale of Three.
Please stop by and leave a comment somewhere so I know you're out
there. :c) I'm going to look into a way of integrating the new site
with LJ in some fashion since I know many of you are bound to your
Friends List here.

Hey, sorry I haven't been around much. I've been working the past
couple of weeks to build a new blog site for myself and Elaine since I
really just don't like the constrains of LJ. It's almost ready so I'll
post the link in the next day or two.
However, before then, I'd like to have you all check out this band.
They're called Scarecrow Messiah and they're based in WA. In fact, two
of the members went to school with me (and quite possibly you too).
You can listen to two of their songs here.
And you can download three more songs from here.
It's pretty good stuff, especially considering it was self-recorded and produced.

So have any of you heard of Intelligent Design? It's supposed to be an alternate theory for the creation of the universe... as opposed to evolution. The idea is that the universe is too complex for it to have just been created out of thin air, that some greater being must have designed the universe. It's a growing movement that has even made its way into some of our children's schools. Some schools, like the Dover, Penn. school mentioned in the article below have actually added Intelligent Design to the school's curriculum along side Evolution studies.
So basically Creationists have found their back door.
Now I could easily go into how silly I think it is that just because we humans do not fully yet understand the universe, we should take that as evidence of a higher power ie. a god.
But I won't. I'll let the 3000 comments that follow the post on Slashdot do that for me. You really should read some of them, many of the arguments are well founded, a rarity for slashdot discussions.

Well I saw a couple people doing a purity test and I just had to try my hand at it. Needless to say I got 42% total purity (a sign of the new movie that is now out?). Well it's good to know I've gotten my 58% out of life already. Not bad for 23. Still got a ways to go though. :c)

Time to inflict another song upon you. This one, in spite of the overzealous use of a water pot boiling effect, is pretty fun. It has some definite parallels to The Downword Spiral in theme and lyrical content, and fits nicely in between two heavier songs on the album. Also one of the better uses of the cliche "staring at the sun" theme.
But then again, it's NIN, so of course I'd say that.

It's been awhile. I guess we all go through this at one point or another. I haven't been "busy" I haven't had "other things to do" or that take "priority". I have sat here, in this spot since my last entry. Comatose.
I'm not really better yet, but since the new NIN album is coming out, well, I had to share it with someone. :c)
Interestingly enough, my favorite song off the new album, fits oh too well.

Okay I've got it totally up and running now. RadioAardvark is an internet radio station (2 actually) running off my home server. You can reach it via the link below, or on the side bar under Links. This works best in WinAmp but also works in Windows Media Player. There are two stations, the Standard Mix which picks songs from entire albums and the Favorites Mix which is a selection of hit songs and otherwise particularly good ones. Each station also has a LoFi and HiFi channel, in case your bandwidth is lacking.

Well, all of you over in Seattle are probably like... "yeah yeah, whatever, move on" but it is actually snowing outside my window right now. The difference between this and the one other time back in December is that this is sticking... Actually really well. Hmmm... and Elaine is far away at work... I hope they don't shut the trains down before she comes home! Eek!

Okay I've got some stuff to do for now, but I need a volunteer to try the link below and tell me if it works. More specifically, if it works in Windows Media Player. It works in WinAmp for me, but my WMP is a little messed up right now.

Well server is back up again. The CPU fan was a pain to put on, but they usually are.
